VIDEO ART

When i started thinking about the piece i knew i wanted to do something with the defects of video. I knew i wanted to rerecord the video to see how the image would become distorted. Then i decided i wanted my video to be just colors instead of actual images. I hope you guys enjoy my video art piece. I have no video editing skills other then what i can play with in iMovie so i tried my best to make it work!!

  1. Using glow sticks was really clever. I love watching all the colors bounce around the screen, and I like that you only used colors and not images. The audio is also awesome and works really well with the visual. It reminds me of old nintendo games music.
    thumbs up!

  2. The colors are fantastic! I really didn't know what you used... made me reaaaaal curious. It was glow sticks! I thought it was something else! Loved the music! Glad you used the same music as in your performance art piece!

  3. The fact that your piece had such strong anonymity and we, as viewers, were unaware of the fact that the vibrant colors were glow sticks was absolutely amazing. I loved the audio as well, it was very complimentative. Babaaa American!

  4. this was really cool. Glowsticks are always fun to play with but when you re-recorded the video playing from a screen it made it really abstract and much more interesting then the glowsticks alone. Well done.

  5. Jessica, your editing skills are so amazing. The way you made the glow sticks look like neon lighting was super neat! I loved all the colors and the music worked really with it. I liked at the end how you revealed what the source of the lights were. Great work!

  7. I really liked your concept in your final project. Your project gave me the idea you were going through a tunnel and the glowing sticks lighted the way.

The music like Alaina said does indeed give you the idea of Nintendo Music. In my view mixture of Tetris and Bubble Bobble.

Good job, have a great holiday :)

  8. The music made me think of when computers were first made to sing - "Daisy, Daisy, ..." I was mezmarize by the colors and how they seemed to be floating in a space that was expanding around them, then coming back together as they "passed through".

    Good Job.
